How we make money

Vendar sells participation to agencies, described in full on Participate:

• Verification of the company profile, $199 a year: we check the company, its service and its market on official sources.
• A quarter of visibility in one city or across the country on approved surfaces, with a report at the end.

If featured placements are sold, they carry a Featured label, no rank number, and a paid flag in the machine feed. No vendor pays for visibility today.

• A position or a score. The order of every ranking is its score, computed from documented evidence by the published method.
• Admission to a ranking. A company is ranked only when its documented work supports the page's need.
• Removal of a claim or a caveat that its sources support.
• Faster or kinder treatment of corrections. Corrections are free for every company.

The sort key carried a package boost of up to 0.06 until 2026-09-12; it was removed, because the pages state that no paid placement affects rank and the packages sell badges, surfaces and a report, never a position.

Every ranked position lists its score components and the claims behind them, with sources. The machine feed of each ranking at /ai carries the same numbers, so anyone can recompute the order.
